The Orlando Torah Center shul is within the boundaries of the eruv. The eruv includes the subdivisions of Sand Lake Hills, Orange Tree, Palm Lake area, parts of Hidden Springs and Bay Park. The sidewalks on Wallace and Apopka-Vineland Rd. are not included in the eruv boundaries. For specific questions, you may call Kosher Orlando at 407-412-3199.
For Pesach our eruv experts put up Eruvin in various developments (some public, some private).
We usually put up an eruv in the following developments for Pesach: The Retreat at Champions Gate both new and old, Encore, and Windsor Westside. This past year we put up an eruv in Solterra as well but not in previous years.
In Encore the Eruv is often up throughout year – check with Kosher Orlando at 407-412-3199 before booking.
If you would like to have an Eruv put up at other times throughout the year, please contact Kosher Orlando at 407-412-3199. Keep in mind that this can be a costly endeavor.
Mikvah Tahara Chabad Orlando
25-30 minutes from Orlando, 35-45 minutes from the developments.
By Appointment only – $54 Fee. Please come fully prepared.
According to most Rabbonim Tevilas Keilim requires a natural body of water. Generally named lakes are natural (you can check google maps).
Boat ramps are the easiest way to reach the water.
Pro Tip: Although most bodies of water in Florida have alligators it is extremely unlikely that you will come across one.
Lakes Down Boat Ramp
9619 Conroy Windermere Rd, Windermere, FL 34786
This is quite far from the developments but only about 10 minutes from the Kosher Winn Dixie on South Apopka Vineland Rd.
We recommend this one as it is very easy to dip off the boat ramp, and if something falls in, it’s only about a little more than a foot deep (Depending on the tide).
This is the one used by us locals.
Orlando does not have a year-round Hatzalah.
During Pesach and at times during other peak seasons there is a Hatzalah that forms.
If this in an emergency, please call us at 407-307-3600 and call 911 as well.
If this is a Non-Emergency question, we will respond to your message as soon as possible.
*DO NOT CALL US THROUGH WHATSAPP. PLEASE CALL THROUGH YOUR REGULAR PHONE*
If you are a Hatzalah member, or an EMT/Paramedic, will be in Orlando during a busy season, and would like to volunteer, please send an email to email@example.com with your first name, last name, unit number/EMS agency, cell phone number, and where you will be staying in Orlando.
